Recently we've received lots of letters from patients who are for some unknown reason sure that PGD for sex selection is not allowed in Ukraine, while in fact it is common procedure offered by clinics here.

Of course there are both advantages and risks when you decide to take on this procedure. Usually PGD for sex selection is performed in parallel with PGD for common aneuploids. In sex selection cases, embryos resulting from IVF procedures are genetically tested for X or Y Chromosomes. The embryos of the desired sex are then implanted.
