I firmly believe that we, in the medical tourism industry, are contrarian thinkers with the unifying principle that we are in touch with the very people that we are supposed to serve, the consumers.
As John Kenneth Galbraith noted in his 2004 The Economics of Innocent Fraud, "The market has special identification with consumer sovereignity - with the controlling power of the consumer in deciding what would be produced, bought and sold. Consumer has the final authority to which the producing firm was amply subordinate."
Within our industry, checks and balances are in place that allows the free market enterprise of medical tourism to continue growing.
