Thought I would say hello as we both inhabit the same cold rock!
I note that you are into helping patients research medical tourism options. I wonder therefore if I can persuade you to take a look at the Accreditation pages (http://www.medicaltourismcity.com/group/theaccreditationofhospitalsandclinics), as there exist serious options to JCI when it comes to establishing if a hospital or clinic is safe and fit for purpose.
The WHO is now showing a considerable interest in this, for example, and the American College of Surgeons discusses both JCI and the Trent Accreditation Scheme, or TAS, in its Medical Tourism statement (please see http://www.facs.org/fellows_info/statements/st-65.html).
Perhaps we will meet one day!
