Bravo! city docs save Iraqi general’s face - Profiled on the front page of a leading newspaper

Abdul Latif, 62, a major general in war-torn Iraq in the 80s and 90s, is quite used to injuries.





But even that hadn’t prepared him for the rude jolt his doctor in Baghdad gave him a few months ago — that he had a cancerous growth in the middle ear which could spread to the brain and other organs. The doctor recommended an immediate surgery which would mean losing his right ear and part of his cheek.

Fortunately, Latif travelled to Bangalore for a second opinion…

Dear Dr. Kumaresh,
I need your help with regard to on job training for my students. As you know we are offering a MBA course in Medical tourism under the umbrella of Health Care Management. I have six students who are interested in doing research projects with various medical facilitators and health facilitators.
They have been given good exposure to the hospital activities as well as the travel industry. At the same time they are well versed with Medical tourism industry. Would you be interested in providing some kind of research project to the students (they can work on certain areas of yr interest and give you research report about India etc).

Hi Dr. Kumaresh,
As you know ICRI is producing trained manpower for medical tourism industry, by providing a degree in MT (MBA). Our first batch will be coming out in the last week of June. But my doubt is to knoe whether industry is vocal enough to take MT trained professionals. We teach them both the industry specifications i.e. tourism as well as health care industry. Will trhese professionals given preference over the general MBA/MHA(Master's in Healthcare Administration)
I want to seek your advice as you are the one who is involved in MT industry and are handling teams dealing with medical travelers.
