In May 2008, Global SurgiLiaison was founded to offer referral services to internationally recognized, high quality hospitals and providers for individuals in need of an elective surgical procedure at an affordable price. This is primarily intended to benefit those individuals who do not have health care insurance, are underinsured or have health care insurance with a pre-existing health condition that is not covered. By providing this service we expect to contribute to help resolve in part the health care crisis in the United States caused by the rising cost of health care.
Our company can be characterized as a medical tourism firm. Medical or Health Tourism facilitator. Our principal service, consists of facilitating the process between patient and health care provider abroad. The decision-making process for patients considering treatment abroad can be daunting. Our role is that of a liaison, an intermediary between the health services provider abroad and the patient.
The company founder and president have over 30 years of clinical and administrative experience in the health care industry. He have been a physician associate both in medicine and surgery for the past 30 years working in major medical centers in the U.S. He holds a Master degree in Health Science from the University of the State of New York, a Physician Associate certificate from Hahnneman Medical College in Philadelphia, PA and is board certified in the U.S. by the NCCPA (National Commission for the Certification of Physician Assistants) to practice medicine as a Physician Associate. In addition he also holds a Masters degree in Public Health from Oregon Health and Science University. He brings to the company a vast amount of medical knowledge and hospital environment working experience. As a medical and public health professional he also brings into the company a deep understanding of the need at this point in time for the type of service Global SurgiLiaison will offer. He also view each client as a person in need of medical help, perhaps seriously ill, who deserves to be treated with compassion and respect and understand the responsibility the company have towards that person.
The availability of lower cost, high quality offshore treatment options could save U.S. patients billions of dollars and reduce spending within the U.S. health care system. Countries that offer Medical Tourism are committed to providing world class services at affordable prices and sophisticated and premium healthcare services are now more readily available without compromising on the quality and standards of treatment.
