In one week time, years and history's biggest Medical Tourism gathering is starting in LA under MTA.
My experience says, that most of the talk will revolve around JCI Accredited foreign hospitals, most US employers, organizations with big number of workers and US insurers will tell the Healthcare providers from around the world that if you will get JCI we will send you patients and if you will not, there will be issues of quality in which USA believes.
To me its absolutely wrong, and unethical. Not just on the part of USA asking others to get equipped with JCI, with out knowing if they are good or bad or they need or not. But more over to JCI who has prove that JCI is for sale, and more of a marketing strategy rather a real accreditation to provide some help to improve. Though JCI will never agree but it is very much evident from the practice. I hope our Medical Tourism, Healthcare providers from around the world will certainly raise the voice against this double standard, and it also hits back the US Health seeker or medical tourist, as the price of getting JCI will be billed back to them.
