It seems that Costa Rica is primarily known as an MT destination for dental services, but what are the other procedures that drive traffic to this sunny Central American democracy?

I am interested in learning more about centers for dental, as I have a client who has a specific request. She has questions about oral surgery and recommendations for follow-up. She has always had poor teeth and initially she is referring to root canals as the start of her dent

We at International Medical Travel are facilitators out of Canada.
We attended the Congress in April and stayed a total of 12 days touring the hospitals, clinics and had many meetings with doctors
Where are you looking for Facilitators from?

La Joya Perfecta, Costa Rica's premier wellness community is seeking a large wellness center or Hospital group partner in the US, Canada, Europe, and Asia to run and manage our wellness center. Please contact me at BDUDL@CRWELL.COM. Thank you,

Well, looks like this board has been pretty quiet! Allow me to introduce myself then... My Medical Concierge company is MedNetBrazil and I started my services in Brazil years ago after my own successful plastic surgery procedures post bariatric surgery. I ended up helping 200 of my peers in just my first two years of operation. As I was building my services, I was actively observing what kind of experiences patients were having in Costa Rica and learned from that as I built my own services. I have been to CR to consult for a MTF company sending patients there a few years ago and was surprised to see not much had changed. I am being invited again to go and share the infrastructure and total patient support system that I created in Brazil for my high risk, complication prone patients post bariatric surgery for a new Medical Spa opening there.

My experience in MT is pretty unique in that I have had myself, ALL the procedures most of my patients are wanting AND I have been lucky enough to handle BOTH sides of their experience as I handled them personally from first email inquiry to total accompaniment once they arrived in Brazil. I personally took responsibility for providing a very tight structure of support for them... emotionally, socially and medically with nursing accompaniment daily and appropriate hotel lodgings.
Since I plan on actively participating in the market in CR, I would very much like to hear from my fellow MT companies and services sending patients there to see if we cannot work together for the ultimate benefit of the patients and the doctors of Costa Rica. Blessings, Christi deMoraes www.MedNetBrazil.com

How does medical malpractice work in Costa Rica? Do facilites require surgeons to have coverage as in the US?

Is Dr. Jorge Cortes Rodriguez still there and acting as the Subdirector General Medico? If so, ask him if he remembers when I came to San Jose, visited him and discussed the development of the International Board of Medicine and Surgery....seems to me I recollect we were going to go out for dinner but something came up. Please have him review our updated site at www.ibms.us and consider listing himself, perhaps even registering and contacting me if he should have any questions. We have all moved along this medical tourism highway since then.
