I am wondering if the term medical malpractice is missued in alot of cases. When you consider the percent of frivolous cases vs obvious what would the real percent be? I happen to have had privy to information that a great number in the states are just that, frivolous. We want to protect the sick as they and their families are for the most part not familiar with hospitals and procedures the way medical people are. Yet this I am afraid opens a door that stays open longer than maybe it should.
All of these cases have to be investigated,,which is a cost to everyone down to in the states the taxpayer. Of course this starts a snowball effect.
I wonder if someone put their foot down on these cases,,,,,this would give the healthcare industry a respite to concentrate on just what they are trained to do,,deliver health care.
