Based on my latest blog post - http://www.medicaltourismcity.com/profiles/blogs/we-need-to-pay-att...
What do you think will happen to the U.S. health care system?
My initial thought is that everything will become hyper-inflated based on lack of business to support jobs and income. Therefore hospitals will shut down and all independent doctor practices will shut down. Some government run hospitals will remain open and will serve people on a per medically necessary basis and then on first come first serve.
After the initial shock of the collapse the U.S. will be forced to rebuild some kind of order to the hyper-inflated economy. As time moves on it will become more and more appealing to move out of the U.S. and live in another country.
All "medical tourism" type facilities (those who serve the American consumers) will now have a much different standing. Some will shut down from lack of traffic, but others who have positioned themselves appropriately (to serve all markets, not just the u.s.) will withstand the impact and begin to thrive from those looking for health care outside of the U.S.
Also, doctors who have no where to practice will have to make a decision to leave the U.S. and practice medicine in a different country. Those facilities who can welcome these doctors will thrive.
Thoughts?
